The good news is that philanthropy in Israel is increasing and growing!
Total household donations increased during the survey years at a total growth rate of 15% (this is higher than the total growth rate of Israeli philanthropy which is 10%).
Half of household donation growth is due to the rise in large donations above 100,000 NIS (of the 500 million NIS in total growth, 250 million NIS are from substantial donations).
Donations by Israelis comprises 35% of total donations in Israel and overseas donations comprises 65% of donations.
Total philanthropy per person, as the percentage of GDP is similar to European figures, but substantially lower than the UK and the USA.
Total donations by Israelis in 2015 reached the amount of 5.9 billion NIS, overseas donations reached the amount of 11.3 billion NIS in 2015.
